Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it. This week I am sharing a picture I took one year when we were down at the beach.
So what do you think? This was during a pretty bad lightning storm we had one night. It was far enough down the beach though that I could walk out on the porch and snap a couple of pictures. How about you guys? Anyone else have a Saturday Snapshot to share?

Oh wow, what a great shot! Somehow I never seem to have much luck with lightening photos.
Thank you! I think I just got lucky that night and was in the right place at the right time.
What an amazing photo! How did you capture that? Special setting on your camera?
I am still an amateur at all this, but I did some research online and learned to use a tripod, have a low ISO setting and kept the aperture between f/5.6 and f/8. I hope that helps.
Wow, that’s a fabulous capture!
Thank you! I do love this picture!
What a fabulous shot! We have had thunder and lightning a couple times lately, but it sounds like it must be a ways away.
Yeah, I used to be so scared of storms and now I try to find them so I can practice pictures like this, haha.
Its fantastic – looks like a book or movie cover!
Aww, thank you!
That’s scary! I would never, ever, ever take a photo of lightning, but I’m phobic about storms. It’s a great picture though.
Haha, yeah I was far enough away that I thought I was pretty safe. But I am still a little scared of them too.
Scary, but beautiful.
Yes, I agree. Lighting is so powerful, but so pretty!
Very eerie looking.
Yeah, in the black and white like that it does look a little eerie.
What a great shot! It turned out fabulous!
Here’s my Snapshot.
Thank you! I am pretty proud of it.
Wow! A great shot!
Thank you, I do love it!
Great photo! Very impressive.

Thank you! I like to look at this one from time to time because the lighting is just so cool!
Such a fabulous shot! Congratulations, it’s beautifully captured.
Thank you very much, I really do like it.
