Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it. This week I have been down in the Outer Banks and have not really been online that much because of that. I did want to share three pictures from this week though. The first is the sunset from the first night we were here.
The second is some fun weather we ran into one day. A water twister came in off the sound side of the Outer Banks. I did not get too close to it, but I just could not resist going out to get a couple of pictures.
And the last is me playing around at night trying to get pictures of the moon. In this picture two people walked by with flashlights and I thought it looked neat because you cannot see the people, just their lights.
So what do you think? I had a great week down here and am sad to go, but all good things must come to an end an so must this vacation. How about you guys? Anyone else have a Saturday Snapshot to share?

What beautiful photos!!
Here is my Saturday Snapshot post!
Thank you! I am very happy with them as well.
Nice series.
Great view of that twister, I guess I’d prefer to see them at that distance too.
Ys, the flashlights tured out great. Fun shot.
Yeah, I really did not want to get any closer than that. Haha
Oh, I now really want to go to the Outer Banks…I so enjoy books set there and can visualize the scenes. Thanks for sharing…and here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Yeah, it is a great place to go and visit, I highly suggest it.
Wow those are great photos! Totally cool flashlight pic!
I’d love it if you would stop by and come see my pic for today.
Thank you! I love how those flashlights look too.
Oh how I love the Outer Banks. Your photos bring back lots of great memories.
Yes, it is wonderful down there. The week flew by, but we had a great time.
It has been several years since I have visited the Outer Banks but your images remind me that I need to return soon. It is such a beautiful location. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, I love it down there as well and try to get down whenever I can!
I wouldn’t have even thought to try a shot like the one with the flashlights – very fun! And that sunset is so pretty!
Thanks, yeah it was fun to take. I like playing around with stuff like that.
What fantastic photos! I’ve never heard of a water twister, although it makes sense they could happen. Glad it didn’t get too close.
I love that moon photo. It looks like a quiet, lovely place.
Here’s my Saturday Snapshot. Happy weekend!
Yeah, I had not heard of water twisters either until I saw one a long time ago down there, but they are very cool to look at.
The moon location was great, but now I have bug bites everywhere because the mosquitoes were all over me, but I am happy with the shot.
The first picture is really beautiful, and I love the last one, with the moon lighting up a path on the sea.
Yeah, I took quite a few of that moon, I just could not walk away from that without taking pictures, it was just too pretty.

All these pictures are amazing! So diverse, but all incredible weather displays. That flashlights one is a neat trick!
Thank you very much! I am really happy with all of them.
Good photos! What is a water twister?
Thank you! A water twister is basically a tornado that forms over the water. They can come on land, but usually dissipate when they come in contact with it. This one started on the ocean and then moved over to the sound.
Beautiful pictures!!
Thank you.
The sky looks awesome; great captures.
What fabulous shots- each one is great.
