Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it. Here is a photo I took a couple of years ago when I was in Richmond.
So what do you think? All this hot weather is making me long for winter. I am a winter girl at heart and since we got so little snow where I live last year I am already hoping for lots of it this year. Haha. This picture was taking at a place called Belle Isle in Richmond. It’s this great little park in downtown Richmond that I used to love walking around. This is right outside the park at sunset. I loved the image of the bench with the lamppost and the sun setting in the background. How about you guys? Anyone else have a Saturday Snapshot to share?

It’s fun to take photos of sunsets/sunrises; they make some amazing silhouettes, like the one you got here. I’m looking forward to winter too, although I’m in South Texas, so snow would be a sign of the Apocalypse.
Here’s my Saturday Snapshot for the week. Happy Saturday!
I like taking pictures of the sunrise/sunset for that exact reason, the silhouettes. And yeah, I bet snow where you are would not be a good sign, lol.
Winter sunsets are the best in my opinion! Love the naked trees! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I love the trees like that as well.
I could walk around a lovely park like that too.
It is a beautiful place to visit, I used to go there a lot.
I like how the lamp looks like a mysterious shadow against the colorful backdrop.
Yeah, I like that too. I tried to get the sun right behind it so it almost glowed.
For one moment I thought that was what your weather was like right now! It’s a lovely photo. My Saturday Snapshot is very brief this week but it’s sad – a site where lepers once lived http://goo.gl/TkmQ7
Haha, I love snow, but if it happened in the middle of summer I would be concerned.
Lovely! I’m more of a cold weather person myself.
I love colder weather too.
The lamppost makes me think of Narnia…perhaps the bench seat is a portal to another universe!
Haha, I love your way of thinking! That lamppost definitely reminded me of Narnia as well!
