Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it. Today I have a picture of this old house that I pass quite often. I woke up one morning to find fog covering everything, and thought this house would look especially cool in the fog. So I set out the get a picture of it.
Here is a close up of the house itself.
So what do you think? I know it looks a little creepy, but I am still drawn to it every time I pass. There has to be a story to this house and one day I hope to find out what it is. Do you have a Saturday Snapshot of something else to share today?
Your snapshots sure look like stills from a Hitchcock movie.
Haha, yeah I guess you are right. It does look pretty creepy doesn’t it?
I Love the photos! Fog is wonderful to add mood to a photo. Is the house abandoned? How sad…looks like it might have been marvelous at one time.
I love the way the fog adds to the picture too. Yes, the house is abandoned. It is sad really because I am sure at some point it was a beautiful house.
How spooky! I bet it looks very different in other lighting, but in the fog it definitely looks like a horror setting.
Haha. Yeah you are right. I have other pictures of it, but I love how spooky it looks in the fog. When it snows I am going to try and get a picture of it again.
That looks so spooky!
Yeah I guess it is pretty spooky.
Brilliant idea to take this in the fog! It really creates a mood.
Thank you. I am happy with the outcome too.
How wonderfully gothic of you
I expect to see a black caped figure emerge eerily from the mist…
Haha. The wind was howling that morning and made some interesting noises come out of that house so I was a little nervous someone would emerge too.
It’s too creepy for me!
Aww. I’m sorry. I know it is creepy, but for some reason I still love it.
Ooh, I love it! That close-up shot is awesome. So moody and gorgeous and full of potential stories.
Fog excites and scares and leads to many stories.
Very nice photos.
Such great shots!
Love looking at old places! Where is it?
