Saturday Snapshot – Tree Sap

Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it. A couple of weeks ago I went for a walk in my old neighborhood and when I was walking back to my car something caught my eye. I stepped back to try to figure out what it was and stumbled across this tree with a small drop of sap reflecting the sun. I just had my phone with me, so I could not get as close as I wanted too, but I did manage to get this picture of it. It is amazing that we have cameras on our phones today so I could get this picture, but I do wish I had my good camera with me that day.

So what do you think? Have you ever had a moment when you wished you had your regular camera around too and not just your phone? Or do you have a Saturday Snapshot to share?

Saturday Snapshot – Beach Sunset

Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it.  Today I have a picture of a sunset from the beach.  I loved the color of the sky and the silhouette of the people up on the sand dune.  It is not the best quality because there is a glare, but I actually kinda like the imperfection of it.

So what do you think? Do you mind glare in your pictures of sunrises or sunsets?  Or do you have a Saturday Snapshot to share?

Saturday Snapshot – Grand Canyon Sunset

Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it.

I love trees.  That may sound strange, but I think they are so beautiful and I love finding unique ones to take pictures of.  When we went to the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago we were only there for one night and made it just in time for sunset.  I snapped this shot with the tree front and center because I thought it looked so eerie and awesome.  This picture is actually hanging on my wall in my house because I love it so much.

So what do you think? Anyone else like taking pictures of trees or have a Saturday Snapshot to share?
