I have been waiting for Lisa McMann to show the cover and brief summary of her new book Cryer’s Cross! I have loved her work in the past and so when I heard she was coming out with a new book I was excited. If Lisa’s name is not ringing a bell (which it should, cause she awesome!), she has written a great trilogy about a girl named Janie Hannagan and her special relationship with dreams. I read all three of these pre-blog so just click on the pictures below if you want more information on any of those books. But if you have not read them you really should, they are great books.
Alright back to the news. Lisa has put up the image for the new cover and a short summary and here they are:
“The small town of Cryer’s Cross is rocked by tragedy when an unassuming freshman disappears without a trace. Kendall Fletcher wasn’t that friendly with the missing girl, but the angst wreaks havoc on her OCD-addled brain.
When a second student goes missing – someone close to Kendall’s heart – the community is in an uproar. Caught in a downward spiral of fear and anxiety, Kendall¹s not sure she can hold it together. When she starts hearing the voices of the missing, calling out to her and pleading for help, she fears she’s losing her grip on reality. But when she finds messages scratched in a desk at school – messages that could only be from the missing student who used to sit there – Kendall decides that crazy or not, she’d never forgive herself if she didn’t act on her suspicions.
Something’s not right in Cryer’s Cross – and Kendall’s about to find out just how far the townspeople will go to keep their secrets buried.”
Doesn’t that sound awesome?? I am so excited! I absolutely love the cover, just a little creepy and definitely makes you want to pick it up! I have loved all her past work and I am sure this book will be no different. The book hits shelves February 2011 and I know I am counting down the days 🙂 If you want more information about Lisa McMann and her books, check out her website here
