In My Mailbox

I think I am finally done traveling for a while.  It was nice to be in different places, but sometimes coming home and staying home is just perfect.  Because of all my traveling I have had packages come and go and I have not really been keeping track of them.  I did this week though, which means I can participate in “In My Mailbox” which is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren.  This week I had a couple of fun things come my way, the first is a signed Shadow Hills poster and pin from Anastasia Hopcus.  I love them!  The book was awesome and Anastasia rocks so I was happy when this came!

I have been anticipating a book that was due to release this week, The Thirteenth Chime by Emma Michaels.  Luckily for me, the books came in stock early so I got my copy a day before the official release.  Don’t you love when that happens?  Well, Emma said on her blog that if you bought the book and sent her the receipt (within the first week of release I think) she would send you some swag, so I did.  As it turns out, I was the first one to buy the book and let her know about it, so I got some special swag, bonus!  I have put a picture of what she sent me and the book I bought.  Emma was so sweet, she signed almost everything you see and even sent me a personalized bookmark thanking me for being the first one to buy the book, how cool is that?

The last thing for the week was my download of Eternal Kiss of Darkness by Jeaniene Frost.  I don’t always like to use my kindle when reading, but I find it easier when books are in mass market format to just read them off my kindle.  I am not a huge fan of mass market books, the font can be really small and I can’t always bend the book the way I want to while reading.  Does that makes sense?  Well, maybe it is just personal preference.  Either way I still get to read the book and that is what counts 🙂  Well, that is it for me this week, pretty good week I think!  How about you, did you get anything you are excited about?

  1. The Thirteenth Chime sounds really good–congrats on all of the swag!

Here is my mailbox for the week ❤

  2. I agree with reading some of the books on the e-reader (I use my Blackberry for now – Kindle is in the near future!). The type is the same size if not bigger than the actual book and I’m glad I’m not alone on the book/page bending dilemma 🙂

    Have a good one!

    • No you are not alone, I hate it when I can not bend a book to see the whole page. The my book looks all mangled and ridiculous. The Kindle was pretty much the best thing I ever bought to solve that problem 🙂

  3. I hope that you enjoy your books. Happy reading. Check out my mailbox
