Waiting on Wednesday – The Darkest Secret

This week for Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Breaking the Spine, I am going to feature another book from a series I just recently discovered.  The book is The Darkest Secret by Gena Showalter, I know these books have been published for a while now, but they are new too me 🙂  I just tore through all of them last week and now, of course, I am dying for the next one.  Here is a brief summary from Goodreads.com

Keeper of the demon of Secrets, Amun can manipulate the darkest thoughts of anyone nearby. But when new demons possess him, the immortal warrior must be chained and isolated to protect those he loves. Death is his only hope of release—until he meets Haidee, a fellow prisoner whose beauty and hidden vulnerability draw him into a reckless test of his loyalty…

Haidee is an infamous demon assassin, raised to despise Amun’s kind. Yet how can she hate the man whose touch sets her aflame? But to save him, she must give herself body and soul…and face the wrath of a powerful adversary sworn to destroy her.

If you have read the past books you know that Haidee is a big time baddie, so I cannot wait to see how these two are going to get along.  Plus, watching the other warriors react to her is going to be fun to watch.  I really could go on about this, but I am going to stop now and try and wait patiently for the book to come out.  So, what about you?  What books are you looking forward to?

  4. Thank you for stopping by my blog and I agree I so can’t wait for this book. I am reading Gideon’s book and loving it. Gena is one of my top all time fave authors, I’m glad you found her and love them. You should try her Atlantis series which has 4 or 5 in that series. Its awesome as well.

    • I love Gena too, she is one of my fav authors! I loved Gideon’s book, just took me a while to get used to his lingo, lol! I have not tried out the Atlantis series because I was unsure about it, but I will definitely check it out now 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
