Summary from Goodreads.com

My Review: I know I am going to have a hard time expressing how much I enjoyed this book because when I get really excited I tend to get tongue tied as well.  I am still going to give it a shot though so here goes.

Visions of Magic is the first book in a new paranormal romance series that focuses on the lives of a coven of witches.  The concept is completely different from anything I have ever read and it fascinated me.  Basically a coven of witches got too greedy and gave into the allure of dark magic.  They realized their mistake too late and now have to atone for their wrongdoings.  As punishment they decided to condemn their souls to be reborn without magic for eight hundred and ten years in hopes that each time they were reincarnated they would shed a little more of the dark and choose the light once more.  As the eight hundred and ten years comes to an end, the witches begin to awaken one by one.  Shea is the first and as her memories come flooding back to her, she realizes she does not necessarily like everything she sees.

This book moves very quickly and it has so many sub plots it is almost hard to keep up with it all, but I would not have it any other way.  If you are not used to following multiple stories in a book, then you might want to read this one very slowly.  Personally, I love all the sub plots because that way you get the entire story and not just what the main characters are having to deal with.  It enriches the story and gives you a glimpse into the mind of the enemy, which is always fascinating to me.

With all the action going on though, the heat between Shea and Torin is still smoking hot.  Torin is an Eternal, an immortal bound to protect Shea and he has had to sit back for eight centuries and watch her live and die while being able to do nothing.  So, when she finally awakenings and is back in his life fully, he wastes no time claiming her.  Watching the two of them being able to reconnect is magic in itself.

Without trying to sound cliché in a word this book really is magical.  I loved the original concept, getting to know all the characters and all of the thoughts still swimming through my head now that I am finished reading.  I cannot wait to see what Regan has in store for us in future books, I know they will be amazing!
