Waiting on Wednesday – The Darkest Surrender

Hello Wednesday, I have a fantastic book for you this week for my Waiting on Wednesday pick.  This is a fantastic weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine.  The book I want to talk about today is The Darkest Surrender by Gena Showalter. This is one of my favorite series about a group of warriors that each house one of the demons that came out of Pandora’s box.  The warriors led the strike that opened the box first place and as punishment they were each given a demon. I love all the Greek mythology weaved through these books and the warriors aren’t bad to read about either 😉  Here is a summary for this book:

The Lords of the Underworld return in this enthralling tale of an immortal warrior determined to win and the beautiful seductress he can’t resist.

Possessed by the demon of Defeat, Strider cannot lose a challenge without suffering unimaginable pain. For him, nothing stands in the way of victory. Until Kaia, an enchanting Harpy, tempts him to the razor’s edge of surrender.

Known among her people as The Disappointment, Kaia must bring home the gold in the Harpy Games or die. Strider is a distraction she can’t afford because he as an agenda of his own – steal first prize, an ancient godly artifact, before the winner can be named. But as the competition heats up, only one prize will matter – the love neither had thought possible…

Summary from Goodreads.com

Sounds good right?  I know I cannot wait to read it!  It does not come out until October so I have a little while to wait, but I can oogle to cover till then right?  So what books are you guys looking forward to this week?

  1. I’m way behind on my Gena Showalter, but I’ve been carrying Awaken Me Darkly around in my purse for those stolen moments where I need something a little dark, a little exciting, and a little sexy to read.

Here’s my WOW for this week.

  2. Ooooh I didn’t know! Thanks for sharing 🙂
