Waiting on Wednesday – Blood Rights

It’s Wednesday again, so time to feature another book I am excited about.  First off, thank you to Breaking the Spine for hosting this event every week.  Now, the book I am going to talk about this week is Blood Rights by Kristen Painter.  You might have noticed that the cover is a little bigger than I normally have them and that is because I am in love with this cover!  I think it looks haunting and intriguing and the first time I saw it I just stared at it for a while because I was so captivated.  So, I wanted to make it bigger since I like it so much.  If the cover is not enough to suck you into this story here is the summary from Goodreads:

Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle’s body bears the telltale marks of a comarré — a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility. When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.

Now, Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.

Seriously, with the cover plus that summary I am sold.  It comes out in October so I have a little bit of a wait, but I think it will be worth it.  So what books are you looking forward too this week?

  2. You’re right. That is one gorgeous cover! I’m on a self-imposed hiatus from reading vampire novels at the moment, but it will be a good one to keep in mind for later.
