Waiting on Wednesday – Lothaire by Kresley Cole

I have not done a Waiting on Wednesday in a while, but when I found out about this book I had to feature it.  Before I gush about the book, I have to thank Breaking the Spine for hosting this event every week.  Now, onto the book.  This will serve as a two for one deal because the cover for this book was just revealed yesterday and look at that cover.  Go ahead, I will give you a minute to oogle it and check out those fierce red eyes!  All done looking?  Okay, well the title is Lothaire by Kresley Cole, it is the twelfth book in the Immortals After Dark series, and if you are a fan of this series, like I am, I know you are anticipating this book just as much as me! Here is the summary from Goodreads:

From the humblest of beginnings a millennia ago, Lothaire the Enemy of Old rose to power, becoming the most feared and evil vampire in the immortal world. Driven by his past, he will not rest until he captures the vampire Horde’s crown for himself. The discovery of his Bride, the female meant only for him, threatens to derail his plot.

Elizabeth Peirce is a mere mortal, a glaring vulnerability for a male with so many blood foes bent on annihilating anything he desires. Yet soon he discovers his Bride’s secret. A magnificent power dwells inside the fragile human, one that will aid his quest. But to possess that power, he will have to destroy her. Will Lothaire succumb to the torments of his past, or seize a future with her?

Lothaire’s book has been a long time coming and I am shocked to see that his Bride is human!  I am really interested to see how this one turns out, I know Kresley must have something awesome up her sleeve, as always.  The book comes out January 10th of 2012, which I know is a long time to wait, but it is my birthday so that will be a nice b-day present for me.  🙂  So that is what I am pining over this week, what books are you looking forward too?
