I am very excited about the book I am going to feature for my Waiting on Wednesday today! The moment I was finished with the first book, I was already itching for the second! Before I start gushing though I want to thank Breaking the Spine for hosting this event every week.
So, onto the book. The book I am looking forward to is Dreaming Awake by Gwen Hayes. I absolutely looovvvveeedd the first book, Falling Under (review here), and I am dying to get my hands on this book. Here is a summary from Goodreads to fill you in so you can get excited like me!
She fell for him in a nighttime world. But the time for dreaming is past—and the here-and-now can be just as fragile their love…
When Theia Alderson first encountered a mysterious, handsome boy in her dreams, she never imagined how finding Haden Black—and falling in love—could change her life. To save Haden, Theia sacrificed everything. And the dangerous bargain she made could have lasting repercussions.
Now Theia has returned to Serendipity Falls, and she finds herself struggling with the same deadly hungers that have tortured Haden. When students at their high school fall prey to a mysterious illness, Theia can’t help but wonder if Haden’s control is slipping—and how much longer she’ll have a grip on her own.
And still the nightmare realm of Under won’t let them go. Someone from Haden’s past is determined to destroy Theia from the inside out, starting with those closest to her, forcing Theia to choose between family and friends and a love that may have been doomed from the start…
Ahh! I can’t wait! January (when it is being released) seems way to far away right now. I also wanted to show you the covers side by side.
I wanted to show them because I like how they compliment each other. For example, her dress is he same dress just different colors, the roses on the first cover were black and now they are red and she still has her curls all spread out beneath her. Yes, I know, I have been looking at these covers too long but I am in love with them. 🙂
Okay, I am going to stop now. I am going to try to contain my excitement because I still have a very long wait in front of me. I know it will be worth it though! So how about you? What books are you looking forward too?
