My Review:  When I read the first book in this series, Unleashed (review here), I enjoyed it but I was not completely blown away by it. I was excited to have a chance to review Untouched, but was a little hesitant. After reading the book though, all of my fears have been laid to rest, because I am now completely in love with this world!

In the first book, we got acclimated to the world and all the mythology that came with it. We also get introduced to all the characters, but had no back story for any of them. With Untouched, we were already introduced to our two main characters, Dante and Kerry so that connection is already in place. I loved their little side story from book one and was eagerly awaiting their book. Since the mythology was already established and the characters already known it was easy to fall in love with them quickly.

We pick up with Samantha and Malcom’s wedding, with Kerry feeling a little down in the dumps and Dante doing anything he possibly can to win his way into her heart. They fall into an easy banter with one another and those types of relationships are always fun to watch develop. Dante is much more playful then Malcolm was and I enjoyed his sarcastic nature. Kerry is also a fighter but has known loneliness her whole life. Every time she touches someone she sees their deepest secrets and feels extreme pain. This forces her into a solitary lifestyle, with no understanding of the joy and comfort that can come from physical contact. That is of course, until she meets Dante. Their romance starts out strong and burns hot throughout the length of the novel. While that can bother me at times, it worked in Unleashed and I soaked in every delicious minute of it.

As for the action, there is plenty of that as well. The mysterious “Punisher” out to get Kerry and her friends is always lurking in the background, looking for their opportunity to strike. Little clues are dropped as to their identity, but I have to admit that I did not riddle it out. The characters found themselves in a couple dicey situations and I was not sure how they were going to get themselves out of them but Sara did a fantastic job of pulling everything together and kept the plot interesting and very entertaining.

Overall, I am extremely happy with Untouched and loved every minute I spent lost in this world. You can read it without reading the first book, Unleashed, but I highly suggest reading the first book before picking up Untouched. That way you have a better understanding of the world and the people who come in and out of Kerry and Dante’s lives. I am not sure who the next book is about, but I know I will definitely be reading it keeping my fingers crossed that it is either William or Steven.

FTC: Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read/review this book through NetGalley.
