Saturday Snapshot – Grand Canyon Sunset

Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it.

I love trees.  That may sound strange, but I think they are so beautiful and I love finding unique ones to take pictures of.  When we went to the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago we were only there for one night and made it just in time for sunset.  I snapped this shot with the tree front and center because I thought it looked so eerie and awesome.  This picture is actually hanging on my wall in my house because I love it so much.

So what do you think? Anyone else like taking pictures of trees or have a Saturday Snapshot to share?

  1. That is an awesome shot. I love tree pics too. Your tree looks like it is dancing and beckoning someone to come closer.

  2. It’s a picture worthy of hanging on a wall. Lovely.

Here’s my Saturday Snapshot. Hope you will stop by.

  3. You captured the beautiful sunset framed by the tree branches.

  4. I have a moon through the trees pic this week. That one’s really lovely – lots of color!

  5. That is such a cool shot! I love trees (and sunsets) too. I can certainly understand you wanting to frame it and hang it on the wall. I would have done the same thing.

  6. Great picture. So many colours there.

  7. It is very pretty! I like how the sun seems to be peeking through the tree branches!

  8. I love tree pictures, too. And I know that it’s sometimes hard to take a good one — you’ve got to get it with just the right background so that the tree stands out. You framed this one perfectly.

  9. I like trees too. I have a favourite tree in town. Lovely to have your own picture up on the wall. Too few of us do that I think. My picture this week is more forest than trees…
