Saturday Snapshot is hosted over at At Home with Books and is just people sharing a photo they have taken and telling a little about it. This series of photos I took one day when I was walking through one of my favorite parks. I found this little guy hanging out in the tree and took a couple pictures of him. The first is when I first spotted him.
The next one is when he started talking to me while I was taking his picture.
And finally he is cleaning up for me so he looks perfect in the pictures, lol. Or that is what I think he is doing.
So what do you think? I liked my little friend, but every time I have been back to that place I have never spotted him again. At least I caught him on camera so I can look back. How about you guys? Anyone else have a Saturday Snapshot to share?
He’s gorgeous!
Yeah, I think so too!
Great shots! They’re really elusive around here. I sometimes see them but never long enough to get a picture.
Thank you! Yes, they are hard to get, I was lucky that this guy sat still for me.
wow, great shots! It can be really tough to get those kind of pictures, but that dude looks like he was more than happy to have his picture taken Book Savvy Babe
Haha, yeah it can be hard. I was lucky he felt like having his picture taken.
So neat! How lucky that you had your camera at that moment!
Thanks, yeah I almost always have it with me just in case I get a chance like this.
What great shots! Glad you were able to capture him on camera!
Here’s my Snapshot.
Thanks! I was really happy I could do that too.
For a moment there I thought he was going to dive bomb you!
Lol, I would have screamed like crazy if that happened! He was constantly starting at me like he was thinking about it, but luckily he left me alone.
Goodness, what lovely photos – you were lucky to have a camera handy. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/UR1qO
Yeah, I was lucky. thanks for stopping by.
Very cool that he was showing off for you! I wish more birds would sit still when I try to photograph them.
Haha, that would be nice if they did wouldn’t it? Don’t they know we just want to take their picture?
I love it how he’s preening to look his best in the photo.
Haha, yeah me too.
Such a gorgeous fellow, how nice of him to pose for you. Great shots, I’m jealous.
Thank you, I was happy that he posed for me too.
That’s a beautiful bird. I think he was looking for a meal. I have a hawk that likes to hang out in the tree near my feeders as if they were a buffet of little birds just for his choosing.
Yeah, he is quite beautiful isn’t he? Those poor other birds, they probably never know what hits them when that hawk decides to strike!
