Waiting on Wednesday – Alpha

Hello everyone, it’s Wednesday so time to tell you about a book that I am looking forward to, aka Waiting on Wednesday hosted at Breaking the Spine.  This week I am looking forward to a book that is the last one in the Shifter series by Rachel Vincent.  It is called Alpha and it does not come out until October and I am literally giddy about it.  I am going to put up the summary from Goodreads, but if you have not read this series here is a link to the first book in this series so you can read that and not the summary from the last book that is somewhat spoilerish.  Here is the summary for Alpha

The unscrupulous new Council chair has charged Jace, Marc, and me with trespassing, kidnapping, murder, and treason. Yeah, we’ve been busy. But now it’s time to take justice into our own hands. We must avenge my brother’s death and carve out the rot at the heart of the Council.

It’s not going to be easy, and loss seems unavoidable, but I have promised to protect my Pride, no matter what. With a target on my back and Marc at my side, I’m heading for a final showdown that can–that will–change everything forever. A showdown I’m not sure I’m ready for.
But life never waits until you’re ready

I have loved watching Faythe grow in this series, she is a strong, confident and somewhat stubborn character that you cannot help but love.  I cannot wait to see what Faythe does next and who she chooses, and doesn’t the cover look awesome?  So what are you looking forward to reading this week?

  1. Looks interesting! Nice pick. Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.

  2. I keep meaning to start this series, but still have not gotten around to it. I need to start it because this one looks good.
